Masano / CMF Product Design

I am a Color Material Finish designer, and I create the colors, materials, and textures for the interior. I find it rewarding when we are able to produce something that exceeds expectations, often pushing beyond the given resources and individual responsibilities. I am able to balance childcare and work because we have flexible ways of working.

Kazuma / Sketching Product Design

As an industrial designer, my job is to stay abreast of industry trends and propose innovative designs. We value diversity and it makes me proud to work with people of many different nationalities. I am elated to hear positive feedback from our customers, which really keeps me going.

Riho / Powertrain Engineer Technology

I am responsible for optimizing engine performance. I find everyone is very professional and dependable, and this helps me grow. Our corporate culture, along with the corresponding systems, allow for flexible work styles, allowing me to balance my work and personal life. 

Kenta / VR Evaluation Product Design

I am responsible for design elements of both the exterior and interior of the truck. I think the characteristics of the UD brand are its challenger spirit and drivability of the product. I am delighted that we can make a difference through truck design. 

Yusuke / Shaker rig test engineer Technology

My job is to confirm the durability of components by performing bench tests. Specifically, we plan, conduct and report on tests as well as introduce testing and measuring equipment. I feel a sense of accomplishment when I am able to resolve issues during development. 

Yoshiki / Technology

I develop autonomous driving technology as part of the Electrical & Electronics team. I learned the fundamentals of vehicles and autonomous driving at school, and I'm excited to be able to apply this knowledge at work. Despite being young I was able to utilize my knowledge and experience, that's one of the merits about working at UD Trucks.

Chieko / Technology

I'm a part of the Trucks Development Division, working on the designs of the truck. I strive to design trucks that are both quiet and comfortable, so as to lighten the burden of the drivers' daily work. I have worked at UD Trucks for more than 20 years and I feel that my feelings and ideas are respected. Although it comes with responsibility, it's a workplace that allows me to see my ideas take shape.

Masahito / Technology

I design engine parts in the Powertrain Development Team for 17 years after completing my Graduate Degree in Engineering. In my first year after joining the company, I designed a device used to purify the emissions from the engine. I was able to do it thanks to the support of those around me, as the company has a culture of respecting eachothers points of view.

Norihiko / Technology

For the past 30 years since joining this company, I have been working in the Product Development Division. We are devoted to creating new vehicles with the latest technology making this an exciting place to work. We have created an environment where we can confidently bring new ideas to the market. 

Operation

Hoichi / Operations

As an Advanced Technology Specialist at MED (Manufacturing Engineering Department), I am involved in innovation related to manufacturing. Specifically, I am responsible for research and development of AI, IoT, and robotics technologies, as well as their implementation in the plant. I am thrilled to be able to grow in an environment that allows me to take on challenges.

Koichi / Operations

I am responsible for masking at the paint shop. We have a quality first mindset, making sure that only high quality work is sent on to the subsequent processes. We put our heart and soul into each one of our custom paint jobs for our customers, and we are proud to be able to do so.

Futaba / Operations

I am involved in Quon chassis manufacturing at the Ageo Plant. Striving to eliminate errors and improve efficiency helps me grow, even when work processes change or new tasks are added, and that I find very rewarding. I go the extra mile for myself and my personal growth. 

Toshio / Operations

I am responsible for heavy-duty truck engine assembly. I am also an engine instructor for production certification tests. I find it rewarding when I pass on my knowledge to the next generation. We are constantly improving our AVGs (Automatic Guided Vehicles) and Karakuri techniques in order to improve production efficiency. 

Yuko / Operations

I'm part of the Operations department and specialize in procuring truck parts. I joined UD Trucks in 2010, thanks to the great training provided, I gained experience which helped me excel in my work. Furthermore, there is a strong support system at UD for working parents, helping them to excel both at work and at home.

Yusuke / Operations

My main task is to design processes for new vehicle models, and my goal is to create a production plant that is one step ahead of our competitors. One of the appealing things about UD Trucks is its ability to incorporate advanced technologies.

Xuewei / Operations

My work involves strategic planning, capacity building, and data analysis. At UD I was able to broaden my perspective and be involved in the entire supply chain. I took advantage of our company's internal recruitment system and moved to a new team within Operations.

Hiroki / Quality Assurance

My responsibility is to ensure that the parts from our suppliers are of good quality and fulfill our requirements before we bring them into UD Trucks. Everytime I find the cause of a problem and rectify it, it gives me a great sense of satisfaction and motivates me in my work. 

Hongjun / Quality Assurance

I joined UD Trucks in 2018 as a Consultant, and the friendly atmosphere made me decide that this will be the company for me to build a long term career. As a working mother with two young daughters, the flexible working on offer at UD has been very helpful for me.

The best part of my job is that it is very global. Meaning I get to work with amazing colleagues from many different countries and functions every day.  But ultimately my goal is to raise awareness and expand the fan base of our brand to new and wider audiences.

I have been working in Purchasing as a Sourcing Planning Manager & Project Manager for the past four years. I have had a lot of interaction with people from different departments, backgrounds and cultures, everyone was very welcoming. What I think is most attractive about UD is the chance to work with colleagues from all over the world. I initially joined the company as an Executive Assistant, and after gaining experience in a wide range of roles, I took on a new challenge in the field of Communications thanks to the internal recruitment system. After joining the company I went through many personal changes such as marriage, childbirth and parenting, but my colleagues have always my journey.
